Our People
Professor Adrian Payne, Chairman:Adrian is a Professor of marketing at UNSW, and adjunct professor at Cranfield university UK. His speciality is Relationship Marketing and customer relationship management; topics on which he has written eight books. He is extensive practical experience in Marketing , Market research, Corporate planning and general management.
Tim Heberdon, Managing Director:
Tim is a charted accountant, charted Marketer and ha an MBA. He has extensive experience of intangible asset valuation, intellectual property transactions, and value-based Brand strategy. Tim advises the Australian Taxation office on cases involving intangible assets. Other clients include leading Brand owners in Australia, Asia, Europe and Japan.
Tim presents a course on "Evaluation marketing Performance" at the university of Sydney's Master of Marketing program, and is a judge on the AFA'a advertising effectiveness awards and the AMSRS's Market research effectiveness awards. He chairs the ICAA's New business valuation special interest group. Prior to joining the Brand Finance's UK office in 1998, he worked for the BBC world service, KPMG and founded an award winning media company in South Africa.
Roger James, Director:
Roger is the fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute, Certified Practising Marketer, and a qualified market researcher. He has extensive experience of scoping, conducting and interpreting market research in a wide cross section of consumer and B2B markets. Through his early career in Marketing and Research roles at Mazda and Victorian ministry of Housing, he has applied his expertise in areas of Marketing strategy and Brand development.
Roger has been a guest lecturer on measuring marketing performance of various universities including Melbourne Business school, Monash university MBA programme, UNSW Master of Marketing, Australian market and social research society summer school. He has presented at marketing and research conferences in Australia, NZ, Singapore and Malaysia.
Sean O'neill, Valuation Manager:
Sean is a charted accountant and a charted financial Analyst. He completed a Bachelor of commerce degree from the university of the New South Wales in 2003 majoring in Finance and Accounting. He has over 8 years of finance and Accounting experience and has performed engagements for leading companies in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States. He has extensive experience in Valuation and Strategy engagements. Prior to joining Brand Finance he held positions within KPMG corporate finance and SUN Microsystems.
Alfredo Chandra, Senior Valuation Analyst:
Alfredo is currently a Level 2 candidate on the Charted Financial Analyst program and a studying member at the Charted Institute of Marketing. He completed a Bachelor of Economics degree from the university of the New South Wales in 2005 majoring Finance and Financial economics. Since joining Brand Finance, he has worked on Brand Valuation and consulting assignments across Japan, Singapore and the United Kingdom in a wide variety of sectors, including Apparel, automotive, food and beverage, financial services, IT, professional services, retail, property and travel. He has been a leading Analyst in compiling Brand Finance's reports on "Australia's most valuable brands" and "intangible Asset review".
